We are urgently recruiting freelance Bengali (Dhaka) interpreters based in Sunderland to work within various settings such as the NHS, Local Authorities, Police, Probation, and other public and private organizations.

We are currently recruiting for:
* Telephone Interpreters
* Translators
Please note this is a self-employed position.
The Job
Interpreting involves listening to, understanding, and accurately reproducing content from the source language into the target language.
You will:
* Interpret for clients using legal, health, and local government services
* Check clients' understanding after each sentence
* Perform conference, consecutive, and public service interpreting
* Handle highly confidential information
* Liaise between service users and providers
Requirements
* Fluent in English and another language
* Legal right to work in the UK
* Age 21 or over
* Qualifications such as:
o Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI)
o Community Interpreting
o Registration with NRPSI, CIOL, ITI (advantageous)
o Degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages
o Other interpreting-related qualifications
* Flexible working hours
* Ability to work from home
* Self-employment status
* Ongoing support and professional development
