Main duties of the job
* Provide high quality cardiac diagnostics, with patient care at the forefront.
* Perform complex diagnostics independently.
* Lead line‑management responsibilities and train junior staff.
* Take an active role in service development, contributing to education, audit and quality assurance.
* Occasionally cover at the CDC in Newmarket – travel required.
* Conduct 12‑lead ECGs, provocative ECGs (including MIBI, ETT), ambulatory monitoring, Holter analysis, transthoracic echocardiography, transoesophageal echo, stress/contrast/bubble echo, and physiologist‑led valve‑disease clinics.
* Work in the Cardiac Catheter Laboratory performing diagnostic angiography, ILR, pacemaker, and CRT implants.
* Run in‑clinic and remote bradycardia pacing and ILR follow‑up services with ongoing expansion plans.
Education and qualifications
* ASCST diploma or equivalent.
* Degree in Clinical Physiology, or equivalent.
* Possession of BSE Accreditation.
* RCCP or HCPC registration.
* Intermediate Life Support Certification.
Experience and knowledge
* Advanced knowledge/experience in cardiac diagnostics.
* Proficient in performing and reporting Provocative ECG, Ambulatory monitor recordings, Internal Loop recorder downloads, urgent and planned complex device implant and follow‑up, adult echocardiography, and diagnostic angiography.
* Experience in project management.
* Current experience in advanced practice.

Salary
£49,387 to £56,515 per annum, pro rata.
Location
West Suffolk Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Bury St Edmunds (covers Newmarket CDC).
