We're looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. As a Customer Service Assistant, you will be working in a fast paced retail environment where no day is the same. You will play an important role in the day-to-day operations by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments and helping maintain the store's appearance. As the customer is at the heart of everything we do, you will be constantly looking for ways to improve service through on-the-job coaching and feedback. With your guidance, your store will remain a safe place to work and shop.

You will be responsible for

* Know your customers and serve them with passion and pride, delivering great natural service.
* Encourage customers to provide feedback by completing the “have your say” survey.
* Work across all store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending and stock routines to meet customer needs.
* Apply training to ensure safe working practices.
* Participate in seasonal, community and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
* Be knowledgeable about store performance and understand the role in delivering profit.
* Represent the brand values, make everyone feel welcome, and follow policies.
* Clock in and out at start and end of shifts to ensure accurate pay.
* Maintain safety by following security procedures and wearing safety equipment where available.
* Follow the Think 25 policy when serving age-restricted products.
* Respond quickly to assistance calls on self-service checkouts and explain actions to the customer.
* Keep areas clean, tidy, and organized with clear aisles.
* Occasionally run the shift in the absence of the Shift Leader and Store Manager.
* Follow all training to keep yourself, others, and the store safe and legal.
* If the store has a Post Office Local, duties include day-to-day Post Office operations and passing a background check; if checks fail, the offer may be withdrawn.
