Contentious Construction Senior Associate - Bristol

The team is consistently recognised as Tier 1 in Legal 500 and Band 1 in Chambers UK, acting on major national and international projects across energy, utilities, transport, infrastructure and real estate.
The Role
This is a senior hire within a market‑leading Construction & Engineering team, offering the chance to work at the forefront of complex, high‑value construction disputes. You will collaborate with leading experts across the firm’s offices and take on a key role in the continued growth of the contentious offering.
Your work will span:
* Litigation in the Technology & Construction Court
* Adjudications
* Domestic and international arbitration
* Pre‑Action Protocol matters
* Strategic troubleshooting and advisory work throughout the project lifecycle
* Mediation, expert determination and other industry‑specific procedures
You’ll have genuine responsibility, client contact and the opportunity to further develop your own client relationships as you step into a senior, visible position within the team.
Candidate Requirements
* 8+ PQE in contentious construction
* Strong track record handling complex, high‑value disputes
* Confident across a broad range of dispute resolution methods
* Ability to manage a demanding and varied caseload with autonomy
* Experience supervising or developing junior lawyers
* Comfortable contributing to business development and client relationship growth
* Must be a qualified solicitor in England & Wales or Scotland
