Role
I’m currently recruiting for a Sales Manager on behalf of a well-established engineering business supplying specialist valve solutions into the paper manufacturing sector. This is a field‑based role focused on developing existing customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and driving sales growth across the UK market.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing and growing key accounts within the paper manufacturing industry
* Identifying and developing new business opportunities across an assigned territory
* Promoting specialist valve solutions and associated engineered products
* Preparing quotations, managing tenders, and negotiating commercial agreements
* Building strong relationships with customers and providing technical sales support
* Managing opportunities and pipeline activity through CRM system
* Providing market intelligence, sales forecasts, and regular reporting
* Working closely with internal teams to ensure excellent customer service and project delivery
Qualifications
* Proven experience selling into the paper manufacturing industry
* Experience within valves, flow control, process equipment, or a related technical product sector
* Strong technical sales capability with the ability to understand engineering specifications and customer requirements
* Knowledge of valve applications and process industry
* Excellent relationship‑building, presentation, and negotiation skills
* A proactive and commercially focused approach to business development
* HNC/HND or similar engineering qualification would be an advantage
