About the Role
Do you want to make a difference in the lives of the Children in Surrey? Connect2socialwork are urgently looking for a Social Worker to join their great Family Safeguarding Team with a Pay rate up to £42 per hour on a locum basis.
Responsibilities
* Screens and triages contacts to determine if thresholds for statutory social work intervention or significant harm are met.
* Completes holistic assessments of families, identifying strengths, needs, and risks, and develops SMART plans to improve outcomes.
* Works collaboratively with multi‑agency partners, leading CIN and core group meetings to monitor and review progress.
* Undertakes child protection investigations and contributes to strategy discussions where significant harm is suspected.
* Initiates legal action (including S20 and care proceedings) where risks cannot be managed within the family environment.
* Maintains accurate case records and ensures effective care planning, court work, and placement coordination to promote stability and positive outcomes for children.
