Adults Mental Health Team
Location: North West
Pay rate: £32 per hour
We are looking for experienced and passionate Social Workers to join the Adults Mental Health Team. Ideally, you will have 2-3 years’ experience within Adults Social Care. Throughout your work, you will uphold and champion best practices, focusing on resolving issues before they escalate and meeting the needs of our vulnerable adults to reduce the risk of harm.
This team collaborates with various professionals, including colleagues from the health board, therapies, external providers, and families. It is an exciting time to join adult social care with friendly, experienced, and supportive colleagues dedicated to providing a service that centers on citizens' needs.
Working in accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, and guided by the values and principles of social care, you will support the delivery of person-centered, safe, and effective social care services. Using your professional knowledge and experience, you will make assessments and decisions about appropriate interventions. Applying your significant Social Work experience and excellent communication skills, you will establish and maintain relationships with service users and other agencies to ensure services meet identified needs.
You will be committed to ensuring positive and sustainable outcomes from your interventions. Using best practices, you will strive to achieve the best outcomes for children, with a passion for supporting children and their families to thrive and flourish. Perfect candidate will be:
* Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
* Experienced in working with children and families, including vulnerable groups
* Creative, flexible, and forward-thinking in approach
* Knowledgeable of Child Protection legislation and child protection issues
* Dedicated to continuous improvement for better outcomes for children
* Excellent at mediation and negotiation on behalf of service users
* Skilled at building meaningful relationships with children and families to engage them in assessments and plans
* Committed to providing high-quality service
* Experienced in working within multi-disciplinary, interagency teams
* Over 4 years qualified
In this role you will:
* Conduct comprehensive assessments of risks, protection, and social care needs
* Manage an agreed caseload
* Use specialized communication skills to achieve optimal outcomes
* Devise individual care plans, considering diversity and promoting dignity and empowerment
* Provide advice and support to unqualified staff and students to aid development
