As a Cell Manager within our Combustion & Turbine manufacturing unit in Lincoln, you will play a pivotal role in leading production operations and ensuring the efficient delivery of small gas turbine components. You will be responsible for managing a team of skilled operators, driving performance, and maintaining high standards across safety, quality, delivery, and cost.Your day will involve overseeing production activities, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence and business continuity.How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Lead and manage daily production activities within the cell, ensuring delivery against safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
2. Drive a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all health and safety standards and procedures.
3. Develop and lead a team of operators, fostering engagement, accountability, and high performance.
4. Monitor and improve production performance through data analysis and problem-solving
5. Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to optimise processes.
6. Ensure adherence to quality standards and support the delivery of high-integrity components.
7. Work collaboratively with engineering, quality, and support functions to resolve operational challenges.
8. Support workforce planning, training, and capability development within the team.
What You Bring
9. HNC or equivalent qualification within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
10. Experience within a manufacturing or production environment, ideally within energy, aerospace, or precision engineering industries.
11. Proven leadership experience in a supervisory or management role, with the ability to lead and develop teams.
12. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and production environments.
13. Experience implementing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
14. Knowledge of quality management systems and standards.
15. Experience working within a safety-critical environment with a strong focus on compliance.
16. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
17. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions.
18. Proactive, adaptable, and results-driven mindset.
