Job Overview Job purpose We’re looking for a Graduate Apprentice to join our Business Improvement team. As a registered Social Landlord, Clyde Valley Housing Association provides over 4,700 affordable homes to individuals and families across Lanarkshire and East Dunbartonshire. The Business Improvement team look at our processes and systems across the organisation to improve the service we offer to our customers and to find more efficient ways of working. The team are central to ensuring we can deliver excellent customer service and in supporting our colleagues to do more of the work that they, and our customers value. As a Graduate Apprentice, you will be involved in the full improvement lifecycle. You with work with teams across the organisation to understand their job roles, their aims and goals and will analyse their needs to suggest improvements to the way they work. You’ll be involved in managing and delivering specific improvement projects and developing improvements to IT systems through our low-code platform. Once changes are in place, you’ll support our teams to learn and test any new systems and processes. Completing project documentation and understanding how your work helps Clyde Valley deliver on our organisational goals and objectives is a key part of the role. During the study part of the Graduate Apprenticeship, you’ll learn about the core aspects of any business including people management, marketing, sustainability, procurement, operations management, accounting and finance. Alongside this, you will specialise in project management and will learn about project governance, risk assessments and ethical management. Within the workplace, you’ll learn about the following areas of business improvement: Process Improvement – Learn how to gather requirements, produce process maps, make changes to IT applications, test and implement changes. Project & Change Management – Learn how to create project documentation, how to work with teams to effectively implement change, prepare training to support change implementation, how to effectively communicate with others to implement change. Data & Reporting – Learn to produce reports on Power BI, learn about the importance of good data and data security. To be eligible for this graduate apprenticeship you must live in Scotland and meet SAAS funding eligibility criteria and you must be 16 or over. You Will Need One Of The Following Scottish Highers: BBBC, including English (102 UCAS tariff points) A Levels: CCD, including English (88 UCAS tariff points) Irish Leaving Certificate, H3H3H3H4 including English International Baccalaureate, 24 points An appropriate foundation/modern apprenticeship We are looking for a Graduate Apprentice who has excellent IT skills and an interest in IT and business. You will need excellent communication skills and be able to listen carefully to others and check your understanding. Being proactive, take initiative and be able to self-manage and prioritise a workload is a key part of this role. This role will involve both working with computers and with people and you’ll need to be comfortable with both aspects of the role. Having an interest in social housing and organisations with a social purpose would be an advantage.
