Job Description
Brakes are recruiting for a Merchandising Assistant to join the Merchandising team on a Full Time, Permanent basis.
As a Merchandising Assistant you will provide all round administrative support for the Desserts, Bakery, P&A & CSE team plus the Grocery, Drinks and Snacks team. This is an integral role in supporting the coordination of the team activities. A great opportunity to gain valuable insight into how the Product Development, Merchandising, Category & Technical teams work.
This role is offering hybrid working with 1 day per week in Ashford, Kent.
Key Accountabilities
 3. Data Maintenance and Collation
 4. Proofing for promotion publications 
 5. Business Insights Reporting
 6. Keep track of product updates and bulletins (including new products, discontinued items, and stock issues)
 7. Update and manage product lists (Elist) to ensure information is current
 8. Masterfile Management
 9. Act as the main contact for accounts payable within the merchandising team
 10. Monthly reporting
About you;
This role is suited to someone with an excellent work ethic, team ship, organisation and communication skills, who is looking for career progression in a global organisation. The successful candidate will ideally have had previous experience working within in a data and / or administrative role within a fast paced and rapidly changing environment. You will have an exceptional eye for detail with excellent communication skills, (both written and verbal), with the ability to communicate to stakeholders at all levels. You will be confident working to tight deadlines across different departments utilising your prioritisation and organisational skills. You’ll ideally have experience using SAP, different reporting tools and a good working knowledge all Microsoft Office programmes including Excel. Previous experience in Supply Chain or Merchandising is beneficial, however not essential.
