Parkside Surgery is looking for a new team member to join the practice team. If you like working in a friendly, supportive but very busy environment then we may be the place for you.
Previous experience in general practice is desirable but excellent customer service experience is essential.
You must be able to work under pressure, meet service demands but remain calm and polite at all times.
The hours of work are:
* Overtime may also be available.
Main duties of the job
* Greeting patients, attending to their requests for appointments, prescriptions, and dealing with other queries, using the computer.
* Dealing with telephone calls, redirecting them as appropriate.
* Action tasks in line with practice protocol.
* Recording information onto the computer.
* Scanning and coding information from letters into patient records.
* Recording requests for repeat prescriptions by patients.
* Maintaining compliance with all Practice policies and procedures, available in hard copy or electronic copy and ensuring awareness of where to find them.
* Maintaining flexibility to assist in holiday and sickness cover.
* Any administrative tasks as required.
* Chaperone patients (when required and with the appropriate training).
* Processing prescription requests using EPS2/FP10s.

* CQC rating of good in all areas.
* Located in Alfreton Primary Care Centre.
Job responsibilities
The post holder will provide a comprehensive and efficient reception and administration service to the Practice to enable it to run effectively. The ability to work under pressure and provide a high quality service is essential.
Qualifications
* Good standard of education, GCSE English grade C or above.
* Customer Service/Receptionist experience ideally in a medical setting.
* Experience of SystmOne.
