The Cardiac Physiology team at NHS Highland is looking for a new member of the team.
The role encompasses service delivery of cardiac diagnostic tests such as PCI, ETT, tilt table testing and ambulatory monitoring. The successful applicant would be expected to join our on call team in providing 24/7 access to the catheter laboratory for primary PCI.
We provide a complex and brady device implantation and follow up service. This includes travelling to remote areas of the Highlands to participate in outlying device clinics.
The department would consider newly qualified / inexperienced physiologists, where the department would support you in completing in house competencies under a trainee post under Annex 21.
Under Annex 21 for periods of training lasting for between one and four years, pay will be adjusted as follows:
(i) up to one year (365 days) prior to completion of training: 75 per cent of the pay band maximum of the fully qualified rate
(ii) more than one (366 days+) but less than two years prior to completion of training: 70 per cent of the pay band maximum of the qualified rate
(iii) more than two but less than three years prior to completion of training: 65 per cent of the pay band maximum for the qualified rate
(iii) more than three years from completion of training: 60 per cent of the pay band maximum for the qualified rate.
The post may suit part-time workers or a job-share and applications requesting part-time or reduced hours are welcome.
Raigmore is a modern District General Hospital with 500 beds and a catchment area of almost 10,000 square miles covering the entire Scottish Highlands.
The cardiology team at Raigmore consists of Consultant Cardiologists, Cardiac Physiologists, Cardiographers, Associate Practitioners and Cardiology Nurse specialists.
