Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Healthcare Assistants to join Central North West London NHS Foundation Trust across various wards at Park Royal Centre for Mental Health. Working as part of a friendly team, you will assist multi‑disciplinary health professionals in providing high‑quality service.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with therapeutic management of violence and aggression (TMVA), including use of force techniques as required by the ward environment.
* Work closely with Registered Nurses and other professionals to keep patients safe and support their care.
* Contribute to clinical outcomes by applying up‑to‑date skills and evidence‑based policies when implementing care plans.
* Provide a good patient experience by respecting, empowering, and working in partnership with service users.
* Maintain accurate, timely, and legible clinical records and electronic patient records.
Qualifications
* Numeracy and literacy skills to keep accurate records and administer medicines.
* Spoken and written English to an appropriate standard.
* Relevant Level 3 qualification (advanced apprenticeship, A‑levels, T‑levels, NVQ). (Care Certificate will be supported within 3 months if not yet achieved.)
Experience
* NHS experience in community or hospital settings, working in a caring role.
* Previous experience in a physical or mental health setting, or working with adults suffering from mental health problems.
Skills & Knowledge
* Effective communication with the multi‑disciplinary team, including clear hand‑over and hand‑over updates via telephone and face‑to‑face.
* Use of Microsoft Word for drafting letters and reports.
* Adherence to the Code of Conduct for Health Care and Support Workers and Adult Social Care Workers in England.
* Understanding of the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.

* Positive, enthusiastic, reliable, and able to work well in partnership with others.
* Willingness to undertake Care Certificate and further training as required.
