Care First Recruitment Ltd are seeking a committed and proactive Environmental Health Officer / Enforcement Officer to join our Environmental Health Team in the Brent area. This is a challenging and rewarding role, focused on protecting public health and improving environmental conditions for our communities.
The Role
You will investigate and respond to a wide range of environmental health complaints and public health issues, including:
* Pest infestations
* Stopped up and defective drains
* Filthy, verminous and hoarded properties
* Waste accumulations and fly-tipping
* Other statutory and non-statutory public health matters
You will take a casework-led approach, assessing risks, engaging with residents, landlords and businesses, and applying proportionate and effective interventions to achieve compliance and safeguard health.
Key Responsibilities
1. Investigate environmental health complaints and service requests in line with legislation, policies and procedures
2. Carry out inspections, risk assessments and evidence gathering
