We have an opportunity for an experienced Geotechnical Engineer or Senior Geotechnical Engineer based in one of our offices in Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, Newcastle, Edinburgh, or Glasgow to support our current portfolio of geotechnical projects in the UK and internationally.
We are expanding our team to meet growing client demands in infrastructure (rail, highways, water) and energy sectors, including carbon capture & storage, renewable energy, offshore/onshore oil & gas, and nuclear power.
This role offers a chance to lead geotechnical input on challenging projects. We seek someone driven and enthusiastic about the future, with the expertise to grow in these sectors.

Requirements:
* A proven track record as a geotechnical or senior geotechnical engineer, including mentoring junior staff. Experience in Design and Build environments is desirable.
* A degree in civil engineering or geology, postgraduate qualification in geotechnics, and chartered status as a civil engineer or geologist.
* Ability to develop and expand our infrastructure and energy geotechnics capabilities within a growing, adaptable team.
Candidates should have:
* An MSc or equivalent degree in a relevant field.
* Chartered status.
* Experience in a fast-paced engineering consultancy.
* Project management skills, including client relations, work planning, and commercial management.
* Proven geotechnical design experience and strong analytical skills.
* Experience with software like GeoStudio, Repute, Wallap, etc.
* Knowledge of CDM Regulations in design and ground investigation contexts.
* Excellent interpersonal, technical, and leadership skills.
* Strong communication skills for client interaction.
* Successful track record in negotiating and managing projects.
* Good report writing skills and accuracy.
* Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
* A valid UK driving license.
