As a Product Owner, you will maximise product value by leading an Agile delivery team using Scrum and DevOps practices. You will shape and own the product vision, roadmap, and backlog, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals. Collaborating cross-functionally with UX/UI designers, developers, business analysts, and stakeholders, you’ll play a key role in delivering valuable, user-centred products. You will lead through influence rather than authority, inspiring teams and stakeholders while promoting agile ways of working. Key responsibilities include: Managing the product backlog – prioritising, refining, and ensuring user stories are clear, actionable, and aligned with sprint goals. Championing Agile values – coaching others in Scrum and Lean principles, while helping bridge traditional and modern delivery methods. Driving continuous delivery – balancing new feature development, user feedback, technical debt, and system stability. Tracking delivery against budget – monitoring performance through KPIs and user metrics to ensure value-driven outcomes. What does it take to be a Product Owner at Anglian Water? We’d love to hear from you if you have: A degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field. A strong appreciation of both business needs and technological possibilities. Demonstrated experience delivering scalable, secure, and robust web applications. Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum, DevOps, and Lean product development. Confident facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. The ability to turn complexity into clarity, translating technical concepts for business audiences. Experience with tools such as Azure DevOps. A collaborative, coaching mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
