Overview
As the Global Network & Cybersecurity Manager, you are responsible for developing and executing global cyber security strategies, leading teams, managing budgets, and adapting to evolving threats. This role focuses on protecting a company's global Product assets and ensuring network security.

* Identify and drive improvements in engineering, operational tools, processes, systems & technical solutions to improve customer value and business efficiency
* Uphold the principles of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost (SQDC) within the teams
* Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages continuous improvement and learning
* Work with Team Managers to plan execution strategies, provide engineering estimates, identify risks and mitigation strategies
* Lead and mentor a global team of automation engineers and specialists
* Owner of Network & Cybersecurity implementation and system deployment, configuration, validation, and integration challenges of the control & protection system
* Implement and maintain control & protection system reference and customer solutions
* Execute and provide guidance for analysis/evaluation of projects meeting standards
* Use judgment to solve moderately complex tasks in operations/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering
* Continuously improving product delivery speed, stability and reliability
* Ensure security and compliance standards influence design decisions
* Review and approve design documents, ensure on-time, on-target cost deliverables
* Strategy Development: implement HVDC Control & Protection network & cybersecurity strategy aligning with business goals
* Team Leadership: lead, mentor, and develop a global team of network & cybersecurity professionals
* Budget Management: oversee and manage the network & cybersecurity budget
* Threat Management: monitor network and application performance for suspicious activity and deploy tools to prevent/detect threats
* Act as point of contact for cybersecurity and networking in a project environment; evaluate 3rd party solutions interfacing to the control system
* Support Tendering during bidding for cybersecurity/networking requirements; knowledge of EU NIS, NERC, and BDES
* Ensures Secure Deployment Guides for the HVDC Control System and 3rd party interfaces are adhered to
Required Qualifications
* Degree in Electronics / Electrical engineering or related field
* Strong background in Networking & Cybersecurity
* Extensive experience in control and protection system design
* Knowledge of industrial communication networks such as IEC61850 and Ethernet-based protocols
* Knowledge of network security/hardening and cybersecurity best practices
* Excellent knowledge of Layer2/3 protocols (IPv4, OSPF, LACP, DMZ, VPN, DMS/ADMS/DNP, IEC, Modbus)
* Experience relevant to electrical power systems and Substation automation engineering
* Leadership & Mentorship: ability to lead, coach, and inspire a team
* Strategic Thinking: forward-thinking approach to security posture
* Technical Proficiency: deep understanding of network protocols, cybersecurity tools, and threat prevention
* Risk Management: ability to identify, assess, and mitigate cybersecurity risks
* Adaptability: stay updated on evolving threats
* Communication: excellent verbal and written skills to explain security issues to technical/non-technical stakeholders
* Collaboration: ability to work with security teams and other departments
