Senior FP&A Manager – High Growth AI Driven Scale Up
Location:
UK - Hybrid
Salary:
Up to £110,000 + bonus
We're partnering with one of the most exciting, VC backed tech scale ups – a business that has raised substantial funding at an impressive valuation and continues to attract tier one investors. As they enter their next phase of growth, we're searching for an ambitious Senior FP&A Manager to become the second hire in the finance team and play a pivotal role in scaling the company to the next level.
This is a rare chance to build the FP&A function almost from scratch in an organisation that's redefining finance with cutting edge AI first systems. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in Series A–D tech start ups, having partnered closely with founders and leadership through multiple funding rounds, helping to shape strategy and deliver insights that drive investor confidence.
Why This Role?
You'll join at a point where finance is truly strategic. This is more than number crunching. It's about crafting models, systems, and insights that guide the company's growth story. You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with the Finance Director and leadership, with a clear trajectory to grow into a future FP&A Director.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategic Partnering:
Act as a trusted advisor to department heads, supporting strategic and operational decisions with data driven insights.
* Fundraising Support:
Play a hands on role in shaping financial narratives and analysis that underpin investor materials during future funding rounds.
* Forecasting & Modelling:
Build robust financial models – from revenue forecasts to resource planning – ensuring forecast accuracy and clarity for leadership and investors.
* Cashflow & Scenario Planning:
Lead cashflow forecasting, scenario analysis, and board level reporting to support confident decision making.
* AI-First Systems:
Drive the transition from legacy spreadsheets to AI enabled FP&A tools (e.g. Pigment, Datarails), and integrate finance data seamlessly with CRM/ERP platforms.
* Insights & Reporting:
Develop dashboards and reporting packs that reveal risks, opportunities, and trends across the business.
About You

* Proven success in FP&A roles within high-growth Series A–D start-ups or scale-ups, ideally with exposure to more than one funding stage.
* Direct involvement in fundraising processes – building models, preparing board/investor packs, and supporting due diligence.
* Exceptional financial modelling and analytical skills; adept at simplifying complex data for senior stakeholders.
* Experience implementing or optimising modern FP&A / BI tools (AI-native tools a strong advantage; SQL experience a plus).
* Commercially minded with a passion for scaling businesses and mentoring future team members.
