The Director of New Business Development is responsible for driving net-new client growth for N2O by identifying, developing and converting high-value new business opportunities aligned to our strategic priorities.
This role owns the end-to-end new business journey — from lead generation and qualification through to pitch leadership and conversion — ensuring N2O secures profitable, long-term client relationships that reflect the quality of our brand experience proposition.
The role focuses on expanding N2O's presence across experiential, social-led and retail brand experience, positioning the agency as a strategic partner rather than a transactional supplier.
Essential Accountabilities:
Driving Strategic Growth
* Manage the entire new business cycle from opportunity identification to pitching and contract conversion.
* Develop a high-quality business pipeline aligned with N2O's revenue targets.
* Achieve annual new business revenue targets focused on long-term client relationships.
* Execute strategic plans to expand N2O's client base in priority sectors.
Lead Generation & Market Intelligence
* Identify key sectors and brands for growth based on market trends.
* Network to uncover qualified new business opportunities.
* Collaborate with Marketing on lead generation and outreach campaigns.
* Provide market insights to inform N2O's strategic direction.
Client Engagement & Pitch Leadership
* Build relationships with senior stakeholders during client engagement.
* Refine client briefs for clarity and strategic direction.
* Oversee internal response processes for pitches.
* Draft compelling RFP and RFI responses highlighting N2O's value.
* Present insight-led proposals that emphasize N2O's differentiation.
Internal Collaboration & Strategic Influence
* Inspire teams to produce commercially viable new business responses.
* Ensure solutions meet client needs and leverage N2O's strengths.
* Facilitate smooth transitions for newly acquired business into Client Development.
* Offer strategic consultations to position N2O as a trusted partner.
Requirements
* Proven track record in new business development within experiential, brand experience and/or social marketing. Retail experience is highly desirable.
* Strong experience selling consultative, insight-led brand experience solutions rather than transactional services.
* Demonstrable experience building and converting high-value opportunity pipelines.
* Strong network with the ability to open doors and generate opportunities through relationships.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and proposal-writing skills.
* Experience leading multidisciplinary pitch teams and RFP/RFI processes.
* Strong understanding of brand experience, consumer behaviour and category trends.
* Commercially astute, with a clear understanding of revenue, margin and long-term client value.
