Role Overview
We are looking for a Speech & Language Therapist to work at Luxborough Court School to cover maternity for a year. Luxborough Court School is an independent specialist day school in Essex for boys and girls with a primary diagnosis of autism or on the autism pathway.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide individualised interventions and support to young people with complex needs, including developmental trauma and neuro‑developmental conditions.
* Support educational and residential colleagues to create therapeutic living and learning environments.
* Offer consultation, workshops, training and guidance to the educational and residential teams.
* Collaborate as part of a multi‑disciplinary clinical team to deliver therapeutic support within schools and children’s homes.
* Engage in regular supervision and contribute to the clinical development programme.
Qualifications & Experience
* Qualified Speech and Language Therapist registered with the HCPC.
* Specialised skills and experience in delivering therapeutic interventions with children and young people with complex needs.
* Experience supporting multidisciplinary teams around a child or young person.
* Strong organisational skills and initiative.
* Commitment to achieving the best outcomes for young people.
* Recent sector experience and background in team supervision.
* Valid driving licence, as travel is required.
