Caretaker
Permanent, part time
Working 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday 6.30am to 9.30am
Term time only plus 6 INSET days
Salary: Grade 5, SCP 6-9: £25,183 to £26,409 per annum pro rata
Actual salary: £8,865.59 - £9,297.19 per annum
Required to start in September 2025

We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated, reliable, and committed caretaker to support our learning environment and oversee management of the school site, ensuring hygiene and safety standards are maintained.
The successful candidate will be required to:
• Ensure the smooth operation of the building, including heating, plant equipment, and security
• Undertake general caretaking and maintenance duties, e.g., changing lightbulbs, repairs
• Keep internal and external areas tidy and safe, even during inclement weather
• Collaborate with the Headteacher to develop and improve school site areas
The ideal candidate will:
• Have excellent organisational skills
• Communicate effectively
• Demonstrate teamwork and flexibility with a ‘can do’ attitude
• Respect confidentiality, especially regarding safeguarding and child protection
