Description: The Perse School is seeking to appoint an Outdoor Education Instructor to start as soon as possible. The role is an exciting opportunity to lead the Outdoor Education Department’s Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) program across bronze, silver and gold award levels. The DofE award is delivered through our Perse Exploration Society (PES) Peak Series program.
The postholder will plan and coordinate a high-quality scheme of learning which meets and exceeds all elements of the DofE expedition training framework, which will then support the delivery of the DofE award scheme through progressive sessions to pupils in Year 10-13. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for the planning and delivery of all training and trips relevant to PES Peak Series program, including an international trip annually.
The post holder will have full involvement across the breadth of Outdoor Education provision at The Perse, working across PES provision, games programme delivery, extra-curricular clubs and climbing provision. They will participate in most Outdoor Education trips and must have a passion for expeditionary work. Work is divided between activity instruction, administration tasks, trip planning and leadership.
