An exciting new job opportunity is now available for a committed Senior Support Worker to work in a brand new care home opening soon based in the Swaffham, Norfolk area. You will be working for one of the UK’s leading health care providers.
This is a modern, purpose‑built care home which provides residential, dementia, respite, and convalescence care, offering a comfortable and supportive environment tailored to the individual needs of each resident.
To be considered for this position, you must hold an NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
Key Duties
* Recognise and facilitate the daily needs of residents
* Conduct formal supervisions and appraisals
* Contribute to care planning and coach support workers
* Take an active professional role in promoting the services offered when dealing with relatives, prospective residents and enquiries
* Participate in updating and writing care plans and resident documentation
* Be responsible for making and reporting realistic assessments of each resident to ensure continuity of care
* Be responsible for administering medication to the residents in accordance with policies and procedures
Preferred Skills & Experience
* Proven experience of working in a care setting
* A good team player
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Have a genuine desire to care for others
Benefits
Salary: £16.50 per hour (annual salary of £30,888). Permanent full‑time role, 36 hours a week on a mix of shifts.
