They have steadily built their business over the last 26 years and are seen as the market leaders in trade foil lamination. Proud to be operating in Kettering, Profoil Ltd became part of the Q19 Group in 2022, made up of Window Widgets, The Residence Collection and Profoil. What is the job? We are offering an exciting opportunity for someone to join the team to lead and manage production on site, working in conjunction with the General Manager and other senior colleagues to ensure that everything is delivered to plan for our customers, whilst maintaining Quality standards at all times. You will also be expected to support our continuous improvement culture to help drive the business forward. Key Tasks include: * Ensure all H&S Compliance and Quality procedures and process are followed. * Plan, organize and direct production resources for the manufacturing facility to meet or exceed production goals, in a cost-effective manner. * To report on production KPIs and drive improvements in our MRP system, ensuring that the base data used is accurate at all times. * Work with the General Manager to schedule the production plan and ensure 100% adherence. * To collect data and continually review waste streams with a view to reducing or eliminating. * Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement. * Maintain positive employee relations and be responsible for reviewing and/or administering employee performance evaluations. * Responsible for consistent and fair application of company policies and procedures, including daily HR management activities, such as return-to-work interviews. * Create and maintain training matrices for all production staff. * Provide leadership and communication to team members, promote a work environment based on teamwork, trust, confidence and accountability. * Work closely with QHSE manage to investigate and document any product failures and ensure corrective actions are developed and implemented. * Manage and escalate, as required, problems by performing corrective actions and solutions. * Support the implementation, achievement, and maintenance of the Production, Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedures, including housekeeping and writing of SOP’s. * Evaluate, in conjunction with the General Manager, all machinery spares and cleaning processes to ensure all machinery is maintained, replaced and developed in line with the business plan. Ideally qualified to degree level or equivalent experience in Manufacturing, Management or Engineering, to be successful in this role you must have previous extensive experience of managing production and people in a manufacturing environment, ideally across different shift patterns. You must be able to demonstrate strong leadership and people management skills, be a great organiser and have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, as you will be expected to support both customer and technical visits. Given our strong safety culture, an IOSH qualification would be preferred (but not essential) and, given our drive for continuous improvement, it would be advantageous to have experience with lean processes, such as Kanban, Kaizen, 5S and Six Sigma within an ISO accredited manufacturing environment. As we move to develop better and more robust processes for production data collection, previous experience of using MRP systems is essential, as well as a good understanding of IT systems, including the MS Office suite e.g. Excel. Experience of developing and working to KPIs and other business controls will also be essential, as will experience of delivering improvements in areas of cost reduction, processes, quality and productivity In return we offer a competitive salary and the following additional benefits * 25 days leave (plus bank holidays) and additional days at Christmas * Healthcare cash plan and wellbeing perks and rewards How to apply?
