Your New JobWe are looking for an SEN Learning Support Assistant to join the team from September 2025. This is a full-time, temporary role with the potential to be permanent for the right candidate. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
5. Support students withplex learning needs in the classroom and during activities.
6. Assist with personal care, mobility, andmunication support.
7. Work closely with teachers and therapists to deliver individualised education plans (IEPs) and EHCP targets.
8. Use strategies such as Makaton, PECS, and sensory integration techniques.
9. Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
What You'll Need to SucceedTo be successful in this SEN support role, you will need:
10. Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs.
11. A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
12. Confidence in supporting students with personal care and physical needs.
13. Strongmunication and teamwork skills.
14. Relevant training ( Team Teach, Moving and Handling, Makaton) is desirable but not essential.
