Responsibilities
* Support the Night engineer and night Production team. Shift pattern: Mon to Thurs 8pm to 4am; Fri 6pm to 2am; 40 hrs. Additional night shift premium paid.
* Repair all machinery to National Standards, including Planned Maintenance, Facilities Maintenance, Equipment reliability; use the CMMS system for the maintenance department.
* Optimize equipment reliability through a continuous improvement plan and align with Magnera values regarding Safety and training.
* Perform tasks safely and ensure safety of others on the manufacturing floor, warehouse, and support areas.
* Be aware of IEEE, BS7671 Wiring Regs and Electricity at Work regulations; follow safe working practices for electrical work.
* Provide vision, goals, coaching, and priorities to ensure safety, quality, customer service and cost goals for the engineering and reliability function.
* Maintain facility operations of all ancillary and peripheral systems in the plant and warehouse.
* Use the CMMS program to support reliability of manufacturing and ancillary systems.
* Contribute to the PM schedule to create a best-in-class environment.
* Seek alternatives to control and reduce spending; generate improvement ideas and complete on time and budget.
* Support production shift supervisor in responding to breakdowns efficiently and successfully.
* Competent in use of Lathe, milling machine and other workshop machinery or willing to learn.
* Carry out day-to-day duties as required by the maintenance manager and ensure compliance.
* Promote excellence in reliability engineering, predictive and preventive maintenance across the department.
* Responsible for plant facility and ancillary services.
* Flexible with work hours to accommodate overtime.
* Support project work as it arises.
* Complete records of faults and projects carried out.
* Carry out fault diagnostics on Electrical, pneumatic and mechanical equipment.
Physical Requirements
* Must be mobile, work on shift, and be available for occasional overtime and travel for training if needed.
Education / Work Experience
* Education (Degree/Major): Required: Maintenance engineering apprenticeship (Mech-elec/Elec-mech). Desired: HNC/ONC or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
* Certifications: Desired: 18th Edition.
* Work Experience: 5 years of related experience in electrical/mechanical maintenance or project roles.
* Language: English.
