Role and location
The post holder will be based at the Community Clinical Research Hub, Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Queens Road, Ashton, Wigan, Lancashire, WN4 8LB. The role is an initial fixed-term appointment for 2 years, working in partnership with WWL and reporting to the Head of Research at WWL while employed/managed by MFT. This role strengthens and grows the commercial clinical trials portfolio and builds new partnerships across primary and secondary care in Wigan to bring more commercial research and new treatments to the community.
Responsibilities
* Manage the development of partnerships across health and care providers to deliver growth and performance in the commercial research portfolio.
* Act as the professional lead for efficient commercial trials delivery.
* Supervise a small number of clinical trials administrative staff and contribute to their professional development and training.
* Collaborate with the Senior Research Nurse Managers (SRNs) to achieve national Key Performance Indicators.
