We are seeking an experienced HGV Driver to join our team in BIcester and ensure timely and accurate deliveries to our extensive distribution network throughout the UK. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining vehicle standards, ensuring product quality upon delivery, and providing excellent customer service.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Conduct daily defect checks of assigned vehicle prior to departure, reporting any defects found. Report any stock damage at the earliest opportunity.
Set and ensure vehicle temperature-controlled compartments have reached the desired temperature prior to loading.
Record arrival and departure times at each customer's delivery point.
Document all temperatures, froze and chilled at each delivery point.
Collect empty cages and totes from the delivery point.
Keep a count of cages and totes returned.
Ensure the road is always secure prior to departure, and during the journey.
Return all totes and cages to the correct location within the warehouse upon route completion.
Ensure cleanliness of vehicle, cabin, load compartment/trailer and exterior.
Offload vehicles at delivery points.
The successful candidate will have / be:
Full clean C+E driver's license.
British License.
Valid Driver Tacho Card.
Valid Driver Qualification Card (DCPC).
Checkable work history and 12 months' experience in HGV driving.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills and the ability to develop effective working relationships with people at all levels in the organisation.
_Please note: while we primarily operate Class 1 vehicles, we are looking for someone who is flexible and happy to drive Class 2 vehicles when required._
