About Us:
Fieldens OTR Ltd has historically been associated with the fabrication and fitting of bespoke agricultural wheels and tyre applications. The company is now diversifying and has established a solid-fill department which supplies industrial wheel and tyre assemblies to a major UK manufacturer and exporter. This side of the business is rapidly expanding with production increasing by 100% over the period 2022/23 with a progressive year-on-year increase since.
About the Role:
We are looking for a self-motivated and organised individual to effectuate our employee training and development activities, ensuring effective training programs are implemented to enhance workforce skills and performance. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a desire to self-educate and an eye for detail. You must have the ability to engage with a young workforce and be a key member of our Team in underpinning the OTR Engineered Solutions Health & Safety policy.
Responsibilities:
· Develop an induction/initial training process that encompasses site induction, SSOW and general induction to ensure that all personnel have a safe and appropriate introduction to working within the Company.
· Identify training requirements across the workforce and make arrangements for the necessary programmes to be implemented. This will include initial on-boarding, online training portals and regular Toolbox Talks.
· Provide coaching and mentoring to supervisors to ensure that every day working standards are maintained to a level.
· Manage training logistics by co-ordinating training sessions including scheduling, materials preparation and venue arrangements where applicable.
· Evaluate performance and training effectiveness by assessing the training programs through feedback, assessments and performance metrics, making the appropriate adjustments where necessary.
· To promote a Health & Safety-conscious working environment, in line with the Company Health & Safety policy.
· To support a positive culture of continuous improvement within the Company.
Candidate Requirements:
· A proficient trainer with previous experience in training, development and staff retention.
· A keen, positive team player with excellent communication skills.
· A common-sense approach to work and a "can-do" attitude.
· The ability to be proactive and work on own initiative.
· Targets-driven with a mind-set to go above & beyond expectations.
· A good knowledge of Health & Safety requirements within an industrial setting an advantage
· Some experience of supervising a small team would be advantageous.
· Some mechanical experience would be an advantage.
· Some knowledge of industrial wheels/tyres preferred but not essential.
· A basic understanding of the production of solid-fill tyres is an advantage, but not essential.
· Forklift Licence highly desirable.

Pay: £34,000.00 per year
