Hours: 30 hours per week, 5 days across Monday to Sunday, 08:30–14:30
A Delivery Postie is essential to the Royal Mail, handling hundreds of deliveries each day and ensuring parcels reach customers' homes and businesses, in any weather. You will be part of a national service that makes billions of deliveries every year.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver parcels and post to customers' homes and businesses, at all times even during rain or shine.
* Operate a postvan, follow routes efficiently, and maintain accurate records.
* Provide excellent customer service, handling enquiries and complaints courteously.
* Maintain safety and adhere to all Royal Mail policies and legal requirements.
Qualifications & Attributes
* Upbeat, independent and self‑motivated
* Organised, punctual and committed to great customer service
* People‑person with a friendly presence in the community
* Comfortable walking long distances, working outside in all weather
* Strong sense of community and pride in the role
* Full UK manual driving licence and no more than 6 penalty points
