Due to retirement, we look forward to welcoming an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our team as Practice Manager.
We are a well‑established, friendly and hardworking practice caring for approximately 9,700 patients. Based in Meadowbank Health Centre, Polmont, we are easily accessible from Falkirk, Stirling, Glasgow and Edinburgh by both car and rail. We also operate a branch surgery in the nearby village of Shieldhill.
Our multidisciplinary team includes 5 GP Partners, 2 Salaried GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nurses, a Deputy Practice Manager and a dedicated administrative team. We are also supported by Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioners, Mental Health Nurses, Pharmacists and the District Nursing team. The practice is actively involved in medical student training.
About the Role
The Practice Manager will provide strong leadership and ensure the smooth, efficient and high‑quality running of the practice. You will lead on operational management, service improvement, staff development and strategic planning, working closely with the GP Partners and wider team.
Essential Requirements
* Experience in financial and business management
* Confidence in premises management, IT systems, data analysis and HR processes
* Knowledge of quality and performance management
* Understanding of health and safety requirements

Desirable
* A recognised management qualification is desirable but not essential
Opportunity to develop
We welcome applications from candidates who may not meet all the criteria but have relevant experience, transferable skills and are enthusiastic to learn. Experience in General Practice is not essential. Training will be supported.

We are looking for someone who is approachable, organised, innovative, self‑motivated, self‑aware, flexible and reliable. Strong communication skills and a good sense of humour are essential.
