Location: Coleshill, Birmingham Hours: 35 hours, Monday - Friday (inclusive of off-the-job training) Salary: £20,000 p/a Our Apprenticeship programme offers the opportunity for both face-to-face and virtual training to learn the skills and knowledge required for the role. You’ll pick up the ropes from a role model who you will shadow and work with for the duration of your apprenticeship. As an Apprentice with us you’ll be fully supported to achieve a nationally recognised qualification by the end of apprenticeship with Air Liquide. You will attend college which is funded by the business and the remainder of the time you will be fully supported by an experienced member of the team, learning all about how we deliver outstanding service, making you an expert in your field. We’ll also assign you a buddy and assessor to guide you through your day-to-day tasks. As part of the IMS & Technical team and reporting to the IMS & Technical Manager, the role encompasses the preparation and amendments of drawings and schematics using computer-aided software and technical documents. This will be performed with mentoring and guidance from design and project engineers. The role will require close interaction with internal stakeholders with regard to the provision of accurate and timely design documentation for installations on both Customer and Air Liquide sites, hardware designs and material specifications; critical to the safety, reliability and development of business operations. In performing the role you will develop both your technical knowledge including pressure systems, material selection and process design in addition to wider business management awareness including operations, commercial, procurement and finance through interaction with other departments. Prepare technical documentation including: P&ID’s (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams) and General Assembly Drawings, Drawings for Primary Production and Cylinder filling plants and systems, Material Specifications Manage the retention and distribution of technical documentation Participate and present to design reviews. Develop your knowledge of pressure systems, material selection and process design. Work alongside Design Engineers and with other departments to capture requirements in order to provide appropriate and accurate proposals. ___________________ Are you a MATCH?
