Your NewpanyHMP Bullingdon is a Category B men’s prison located near Bicester in Oxfordshire. It operates as a local and resettlement prison, housing adult male prisoners, including those on remand (awaiting trial) and those serving shorter sentences.
Your New RoleAs an Escort, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe movement and supervision of non-MOJ personnel within the establishment. You will support the efficient delivery of project work, as well as planned and minor maintenance tasks, as directed by your line manager.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Book in and escort all contractors, tools, and vehicles within the establishment.
2. Check all tools and equipment, ensuring records and tool lists are accurate and up to date
3. Supervise contractors at all times while on site
4. Ensurepliance with PPE requirements at all times
5. Maintain regularmunication via radio where appropriate
6. Keep accurate records of those under your supervision and maintain proper order
7. Act as ‘first on scene’ during incidents and support the team in resolving issues.
8. Maintain awareness of prisoners’ rights, dignity, and personal responsibility
You may also be required to carry out additional duties as directed by your line manager, project manager, or site manager. Full training will be provided to enable you to perform all responsibilities safely and effectively.

10. Hourly Rate: £ per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
11. Working Days: Monday to Friday
12. Hours: Minimum hours per week
13. Typical Working Hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm (subject to change depending on operational requirements)

No prior experience is required, as full training will be provided on site.
All applicants must successfully pass prison security clearance (this can take up to 8 weeks). Once obtained, clearance is valid for 5 years and may be transferable to similar prison establishments.
Experience and Requirements
18. No formal qualifications required
19. Previous experience in security or a similar environment is beneficial but not essential.
20. Ability to provide two satisfactory references
21. Must have indefinite leave to remain in the UK
22. Willingness to undergo full security clearance and identity checks
23. Full training is provided and paid at the standard hourly rate.
