We’re looking for a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our Building Services teams in Sheffield or Manchester. We’re looking for a Mechanical Engineer to support innovative building services projects across multiple sectors.
You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality mechanical design solutions that meet client needs while pushing the boundaries of sustainability and performance.

What You’ll Do
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will contribute to the design and delivery of building services projects, including:

Collaborating with experienced engineers and clients to design efficient, sustainable mechanical systems
*
Producing calculations, specifications, reports and risk assessments with guidance from senior colleagues
*
Using industry-standard design software to develop and analyse building systems
*
Supporting and taking ownership of small to medium-sized projects, building your technical and project delivery skills
*
Delivering high-quality designs aligned with client requirements and sustainability goals
*
Working closely with multidisciplinary teams including electrical, structural and architectural disciplines
*
Supporting and mentoring junior engineers where appropriate
What We’re Looking For
*
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or related discipline
*
Experience in mechanical building services design across sectors such as commercial, residential, healthcare, education or justice (MoJ) projects
*
Familiarity with software such as AutoCAD, Revit, IES or TAS (or strong willingness to learn)
*
Passion for engineering innovation, sustainability and continuous improvement
*
Strong communication and collaboration skills
*
Proactive mindset and positive team approach
*
Working towards Chartership (or interest in doing so — full support provided)
