Overview

The Acute and Diagnostics Administration Services are seeking two enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our Administration Services Team at Galloway Community Hospital in Stranraer.


Candidate Requirements

* Have experience working in a fast-paced office environment.
* Possess strong communication skills to engage effectively with a wide range of staff, including Senior Managers, Medics, and fellow administrative colleagues.
* Demonstrate the ability to learn processes quickly and manage multiple priorities effectively.


About the Role

Based within Galloway Community Hospital, the successful candidates will play a crucial role in providing administrative and clerical support, liaising with multi-disciplinary clinical teams and administration colleagues. This is a varied role that requires a team player with a flexible, ‘can-do’ attitude.


Support Structure

The posts will be supported by colleagues, Administration Assistant, Administration Co-ordinator (Office Manager) and Administration Services Manager.


Hours of Work

* Two posts available
* 18 hours per week each
* Working 4.5 hours per day, across 4 days (Monday to Friday) between 08:00 and 17:00.

Schedule Changes

As from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
