Overview
Key Responsibilities Develop and lead the Operations function (Procurement, Quality, Inventory Management, Test & Development, Build), embedding scalable processes and systems to support delivery and growth. Manage and grow operational teams, defining structures, roles, and development pathways while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and excellence. Plan and optimise operations, implementing short- and long-term plans, driving efficiency, standardisation, and agility, and defining KPIs to enable data-driven decisions. Oversee procurement and supply chain, building supplier relationships, implementing sourcing strategies, and ensuring alignment with engineering and programme delivery timelines. Implement and manage inventory and logistics systems to support efficient flow of materials, stock management, and timely delivery to engineering and test functions. Lead quality assurance processes, collaborating with stakeholders to define and uphold standards across operations and supplier activity. Establish Test & Development and Build functions, ensuring they deliver world-class capability, right-first-time outputs, and alignment with near- and long-term business strategy. Manage resources and budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of people, time, and materials, while identifying opportunities for cost optimisation. Promote cross-functional collaboration, acting as a key link between operations, engineering, programme management, and commercial teams, and championing operational best practices.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, Lean Six Sigma) are advantageous.
* Experience in an Operations Management or senior operations role within Formula One, top-level motorsport, or a high-performance engineering/technology environment.
* Proven track record of building and formalising operational functions, introducing new systems, teams, and processes.
* Strong knowledge of procurement, supply chain, logistics, inventory management, and quality operations.
* Demonstrated ability to balance hands-on operational delivery with long-term strategic planning.
* Strong financial acumen, with experience in budget management, cost optimisation, and supplier negotiations.
* Awareness of compliance and industry standards relevant to advanced engineering and manufacturing environments.
* Skilled at leading, motivating, and developing teams in fast-paced, delivery-focused environments.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
* Resilient, self-motivated, commercially aware, and driven by a continuous improvement mindset.
