Position: Field Service Engineer – Electrical Bias

Job Summary
Rolls-Royce Solutions UK Ltd Marine supports the sales and service of advanced Propulsion and Power systems across sectors such as Naval, Superyachts, Commercial Marine, and Land-based systems.
Responsibilities
* Perform preventative and corrective maintenance, including replacements, upgrades, and additional works on Rolls-Royce supplied systems.
* Install, commission, and test new products and systems.
* Conduct commissioning, service, and repair of IPMS/AMS, Propulsion, and Power Systems to ensure operational readiness.
* Install and commission Switchboards and Power Management Systems on vessels.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with Switchboards and power management systems.
* Share knowledge and support the development of team members.
* Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and ensure adherence to processes.
* Provide emergency on-call coverage as part of the service rota.
* Compile detailed technical reports post-service activities.
* Identify root causes of faults and resolve problems using diagnostic tools and methods.
* Support other service and sales activities, including attending meetings.
* Manage stock of parts and equipment responsibly.
* Perform duties in the workshop when required.
* Lead and guide team members on basic tasks and technical support in-field.
* Undertake necessary technical training.
Person Profile
* Proactive, enthusiastic, with good communication skills.
* Culturally sensitive and able to communicate effectively at all levels.
* Technically competent in Marine Propulsion and Power products.
* Skilled in diagnostics, both traditional and PC-based.
* Electrical and basic mechanical competencies.
* Experience with maintenance and diagnostics of Switchboards.
* Willing to travel extensively within the UK & ROI and overseas for training and deployment.
* Physically capable and disciplined to meet high standards.
Qualifications
* Relevant electrical engineering or similar qualification, or demonstrable experience.
* Knowledge of health & safety practices.
* Successful completion of CONDO training.
* Full MoD Security Clearance.
* GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
Additional Requirements
* Proficient in MS Office and report writing.
* Full and clean driving license and current passport.
* Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
