Job Title: Quality & Compliance Auditor - Adult Social Care
Salary: £40,000 per annum + £5,000 car allowance
Hours: Permanent, Full-Time
Location: Remote with National Travel (4 Days on the road, 1 Day remote)

The successful candidate will join a well-structured quality team and play a central role in maintaining and improving compliance across three regulatory frameworks: CQC, CIW, and SCI.
The Candidate:
The Quality & Compliance Auditor will take responsibility for planning and executing planned, responsive, and targeted inspection audits across services nationally. Reporting into the Head of Quality Assurance, the role sits at the heart of the organisation's compliance function. The successful candidate will be comfortable working autonomously, producing detailed audit reports, and working alongside operational colleagues to support service-level quality improvements.
This role suits someone from a CQC inspection background or a senior quality and compliance professional with hands-on auditing experience in learning disabilities or complex needs services.
Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance
Planning and executing audits across services nationally, ensuring compliance with CQC, CIW, and SCI standards and producing comprehensive reports with clear recommendations.
Quality Improvement
Working alongside quality improvement colleagues and operational teams to support services in addressing findings and maintaining continuous improvement.
Audit Management
Completing a target of two audits per week, with time structured across site visits, report writing, and administration. Responding reactively when regulatory bodies are active in a region.
Strategy & Projects
Contributing to quality and compliance strategy workstreams and taking on additional projects that support the wider audit function.
Stakeholder Engagement
Building effective working relationships with operational and quality colleagues at all levels to drive quality outcomes for the people being supported.
Essential Requirements:
* Proven experience in quality, compliance, or inspection work within a social care setting, specifically learning disabilities, autism, or complex needs
* A strong understanding of CQC inspection frameworks and regulatory requirements across England and Wales
* Excellent report writing skills and the ability to communicate findings clearly to operational colleagues
* A full driving licence and willingness to travel nationally, including overnight stays up to four days per week
* High levels of autonomy, self-motivation, and flexibility to respond to reactive demands.
Desirable Criteria:
* Experience working directly with or inspecting services under CIW or SCI frameworks.
* Previous experience as a CQC inspector or in a national quality role.
* Familiarity with systems such as Nourish or Miro.
