Job Title: Sous chef Department: Kitchen Location: Urban Playground, Manchester Role Description Working in the Kitchen team, you are responsible for the delivery of a high-class food service. You will work as part of our open kitchen, supporting THE BUTCHER to serve food to customers throughout their CUBE or Putters journey. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Prepare and cook dishes, from main courses to sliders and sharing platters. Ensure food is always delivered on time and to a high standard. Monitor and rotate stock to reduce wastage. Maintain a clean and presentable service area at all times. Interact with customers and remain presentable at all times. Assist in setting up; stocking sauces and prepping ingredients. Helping to close the kitchen, deep cleaning the area and putting away all tools. Other Duties and Responsibilities Ensure all training is completed in a timely manner. Proactively contribute to and suggest ways of improving company processes and procedures. Assisting in the onboarding of newer members of the team. Skills Technical 2 years of Kitchen / Cooking experience. High volume kitchen operation experience. Experience working in large teams as well as independently. Personal Flexibility to work regular evenings and weekends. Positive, ‘Can do’ attitude, picking up any additional responsibilities to help the wider team. A keen eye for detail, never compromising on standards and keen to deliver an amazing service. Ability to think on your feet and adapt. Excellent verbal and written English is required for this role.
