Overview
Are you a compassionate, team player committed to promoting excellence, shared learning, respect and kindness within a team? You will work in a challenging female environment, with excellent communication skills to support our patients. The service is located in Yorkshire Street, Pine House Rehabilitation Unit, a purpose-built specialist residential service for females with complex mental health needs due to mental illness or personality disorder. The service operates 24/7 and you will work shift patterns including weekends, bank holidays and nights. Standard shifts are 12 hours a day. You will work at a specialist locked rehabilitation for females with complex mental health needs and behaviours that challenge. You will support the service to equip service users with the skills required for community living and increased independence.
The service is recovery-based and supported by individualised interventions. You will work as part of the multidisciplinary team. You will receive training to join the team as a Recovery Worker where you will be valued and supported, with career development opportunities available. It can be a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important. * Work as part of the multidisciplinary team to ensure those in our care are supported to make decisions and access the community.
* Provide skills development and support to promote recovery and give service users confidence to live a more independent life.
* Support the service users to acquire the skills required for community living and increased independence.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Compassionate, team player with a positive attitude, resilience and vigilance.
* Excellent communication skills suitable for working within a challenging female environment.
* Willingness to work 24/7 shift patterns including weekends, bank holidays and nights; 12-hour standard shifts.
* Interest in recovery-based, individually supported interventions within a multidisciplinary team.
