Job description – Bookkeeper
I’m working with an accountancy practice that is looking for a Bookkeeper to support their clients and keep day-to-day financial operations running smoothly. You’ll be involved in a mix of bookkeeping duties, helping maintain accurate records and contributing to an efficient, client-focused service.
Duties:
* Accounts preparation to CT600 level
* VAT preparation using various software systems
* Personal Tax preparation
* Communication of tax liabilities etc to clients via telephone, email or in person
* Be responsible for meeting deadlines and filing returns
* Clear communication of information with external bodies
* Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette in handling calls and queries
* Provide general advice to clients as required
Requirements:
* Proven experience in an Accountancy role, to include VAT, CT600 and Personal Tax
* Computer skills including Iris, Xero, Excel and Sage
* Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills, ability to work autonomously and as a team member
* Ability to multitask, prioritise work and manage time effectively
* Strong organisational skills to maintain a structured work environment
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Schedule:
* Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm (lunch 1pm – 2pm)
Experience:
* accounting: 3 years (minimum preferred)
