We are seeking a dedicated and proactive part-time Site Supervisor to join our team at a secondary school located on the outskirts of Preston, in Kirkham. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the school's facilities and ensuring a safe and weing environment for students, staff, and visitors.
This is a fixed term contract for 12 months and a part time role (25 hours) to be worked in the afternoons.
Your new role
1. Structural and Equipment Maintenance: Identify and coordinate repairs for any issues, premises, or equipment malfunctions, reporting them as appropriate.
2. Housekeeping Standards: Oversee housekeeping standards and escalate any concerns.
3. Routine Inspections and Maintenance: Support the Site Manager in performing regularpliance checks, tests, and maintenance tasks. Maintain accurate records to ensurepliance with legal requirements ( legionella checks, water, fire safety checks etc) and report any issues.
4. Safety Procedures: Adhere to specific safety protocols during all activities and promptly report any safety concerns.
5. Emergency Access: Facilitate access to the premises and classrooms during emergencies such as snow, minor flooding, or similar situations.
6. Maintenance Room Organisation: Keep maintenance rooms organised and ensure items are clearly labelled for easy identification by staff and contractors, including the Site Office and Cleaner’s rooms.
7. Policypliance: Follow policies and procedures related to child protection, health, safety, security, confidentiality, and data protection (including GDPR), and report all concerns to the appropriate person.
What you'll need to succeed
8. Experience in a similar role, ideally within an education setting is preferred.
9. Strong organisational andmunication skills.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
11. Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
