We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established organisation based in Oxford, currently seeking an experienced and proactive IT Manager to lead their internal IT function. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business and take ownership of their IT infrastructure, support services, and strategic planning.
The Role
As the IT Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the company’s IT operations, ensuring systems run smoothly, securely, and efficiently. You’ll manage a small team and work closely with senior leadership to align IT initiatives with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the day-to-day operations of the IT department, including systems administration, support, and infrastructure
* Lead and develop a small internal IT team
* Oversee IT projects, upgrades, and rollouts across the organisation
* Ensure system security, data protection, and compliance with internal and regulatory standards
* Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices
* Liaise with third-party vendors and service providers
* Provide hands-on technical support when required
About You
* Proven experience in an IT Manager or similar leadership role
* Strong technical background across infrastructure, networking, and systems (e.g., Windows Server, O365, networking protocols)
* Confident leading teams and managing IT projects
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
* Comfortable working in a standalone or lean IT environment
