Hays are delighted to support one of our key clients as they look to recruit a Group Accountant to support with theirintepany accounting requirements on a permanent basis. The hours of work are Monday–Friday, –5pm. The organisation offers hybrid working with 2 days from home and 3 days in the office. The organisation have seen sustained growth in recent years and are looking to bring in a Newly Qualified CA / ACCA to support their business.
Your new role
Reporting into the Group Finance Manager and working as part of a team of 3, you will be responsible for various duties which include, but are not limited to;
1. Balance sheet reconciliations
2. Intepany reconciliations
3. P&L analysis
4. Consolidating month-end reports for the Group (multiple entities)
5. Budgeting and Forecasting
6. Stakeholder engagement
7. Assisting in the preparation of annual accounts
8. Assisting in preparation for audit
9. VAT returns and reporting
10. Reporting and analysis for senior management
What you'll need to succeed The organisation is seeking an ambitious and hard-working Accountant, ideally with month-end and/or technical accounting experience. Training will be provided in any of the above-listed areas in which you are less experienced. Therefore, you will be eager to learn and develop and pick up new processes efficiently and effectively. You will have a professionalmunication style, both verbal and written, as you will liaise with internal stakeholders on a daily basis. The organisation is ideally seeking a newly qualified candidate but will also consider fully qualified accountants with a couple of years post-qualification experience.
