Vale Garden Houses is recognised as the market leader in designing and building unique and architecturally considered traditional glazed structures.
We are currently looking for an experienced designer to join our creative design and sales team. We are keen to talk to people with creativity, drive, and ambition with experience in the architectural sector.

In your role, you will take the lead in forging new relationships with clients, architects, and other design practices and will be involved with prestigious projects across the UK.
The role requires:
1. Excellent communication with clients and our in-house team. Meeting clients and other professionals to discuss design requirements and undertake initial site surveys to enable concept designs. Providing clients with design recommendations based on architectural considerations, spatial design, and functional needs. Utilising digital or manual drawing techniques to produce design ideas to act as a guide for concept artists with their formal presentations. Working with our technical team, where necessary, for support on design development. Assisting our planning team through the planning process with design justification and liaising with conservation officers where necessary.
Overview of desired skills/attributes:
2. Creative design ability including an understanding of architectural form and proportion. Communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well as part of a team. Competent with IT, including Microsoft Outlook, Teams & Word. Full UK driving license. Flexibility to work outside of nominal business hours to assist client requests. SketchUp and general CAD proficiency. Minimum of 5 years Architectural experience.
The role will be based at our Grantham offices and will consist of a 40 hour working week.
Annual salary of £45,000 + Significant performance bonus
