Job Title: Childcare Assistant (Level 3 Qualified)

About the Role
We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Childcare Assistants to join our team at First Steps Childcare Nursery, based at our Brinsbury Campus near Pulborough, West Sussex. This is a rewarding opportunity to support young children’s development in a nurturing, high-quality early years environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality care and learning experiences for children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
Support children’s development through play-based learning and structured activities
Ensure a safe, caring, and inclusive environment at all times
Work collaboratively with colleagues and communicate effectively with parents/carers
Contribute to planning, observations, and assessmentsWorking Hours
7.5-hour shifts scheduled between 7:30am and 6:00pm
Full-time and part-time roles available
Part-time applicants must be able to work full 7.5-hour shifts on their working days (e.g., not shorter school-day hours)Essential Requirements
Level 3 Early Years qualification (mandatory)
A genuine passion for working with children
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Understanding of safeguarding and child development principlesImportant Information
Candidates who do not hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification will not be considered for this role.
