About the Opportunity
Step into a pivotal role where you'll lead day-to-day quality operations, from goods inwards inspection to finished product quality assurance. You'll be at the forefront of our commitment to excellence, managing non-conforming components, driving corrective actions, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives that directly impact our success.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Leading goods inwards inspection and finished product quality checks
Managing non-conforming components and developing corrective actions
Conducting root cause analysis using industry-standard methodologies (8D reports, fishbone diagrams, 5WHYs)
Supporting calibration management and supplier quality processes
Collaborating with cross-functional teams on audits, investigations, and process improvements
What We're Looking For
We welcome candidates with GCSE level qualifications or equivalent experience who bring:
Experience in mechanical/electronic environments (optical experience is a bonus)
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and use metrology equipment
Strong attention to detail and organized approach to work
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Eagerness to learn and grow within our supportive environment
Competitive Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: £28,000 - £35,000 (based on experience)
25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
