Key Responsibilities:
* Work one-on-one or with small groups to reinforce lessons, clarify instructions and assist students with specific learning tasks
* Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and managing classroom activities
* Actively implement positive behaviour support plans and use de-escalation techniques to manage challenging behaviour and promote emotional regulation
* Work as a crucial link between the teacher, parents and external specialists such as speech and language therapists or occupational therapists
Qualifications and Experience:
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A patient, caring and positive attitude
* A valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one
* Previous experience working with children in a school setting
* Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or working with children is desirable
