Behaviour Support Assistants – Primary & Secondary Location: East Grinstead & Surrounding Areas Contract: Full-Time / Part-Time – Flexible Start Dates Daily Rate: £89.05 – £110 Hours: School hours (typically 08:30–15:30) Support Pupils Who Need You Most This role is ideal for someone who is calm, patient and motivated to help children overcome behavioural, emotional and social barriers to learning. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you’ll work closely with pupils who need additional guidance, helping them feel safe, regulated and ready to learn in classrooms across East Grinstead. Whether you’re looking for full‑time work or flexible day‑to‑day placements, you’ll be placed in schools where your support can make a genuine difference. What You’ll Be Doing Supporting pupils with behavioural, emotional and social needs Providing one‑to‑one or small‑group support to help pupils stay focused and engaged Using positive behaviour strategies and de‑escalation techniques Helping pupils develop confidence, resilience and self‑regulation skills Assisting teachers with classroom routines and personalised support plans Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams to support pupil wellbeing What We’re Looking For Experience working with children or young people (behaviour or SEN experience is an advantage) A calm, patient and adaptable approach Confidence supporting pupils who may be dysregulated, anxious or struggling emotionally Strong communication and teamwork skills Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) Why Join Supply Desk?
