Our OEM Client based in Gaydon, is searching for a Senior 3D Material Artist to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a contract position until 31st March 2026.
Umbrella Pay Rate: £33.64 per hour.
Position Description:
This role works as an essential part of the tech and data hub model production team, responsible for generating high quality 3D visualisation models, all produced and compliant to tech and data hub creative and technical processes and standards.
The primary purpose is successful delivery of physically accurate digital materials using a strong understanding of photography, optics, and digital scanning techniques and to support a variety of on-board and off-board CGI use cases, across vehicle design, materiality, brand and customer ready workstreams, using cross-functional collaboration and support.
Key features of the role include physically accurate material/shader development, complex texture creation, reference capture/data management and material library management. There will be scope to maintain and adapt internal processes to improve efficiency and quality of textures and materials delivered by the department.
Experience and Qualifications Required:
1. Extensive in-depth experience of texturing and material/shader creation within CGI industry.
